JOB SUMMARY

The Contract Logistics Implementation Manager supports the local teams in the preparation-phase and the implementation activities of new Contract Logistics operations. This includes legal compliance and understanding customer requirements.

The Contract Logistics Implementation Manager will:

  • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop an effective implementation plan.
  • Support the local team in attracting new Service Logistics opportunities and the bidding process, communicating with customer from prospect to implementation.
  • Support the local team to:
    • develop implementation plans
    • develop MHE and investment plans
    • develop local process descriptions and work instructions
    • Implement operations for new businesses
  • Project management of Contract Logistics implementation projects
  • Monitor implemented operations to ensure agreed performance levels and cost are achieved.
  • Benchmark local operations and implementation of best practices

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with local teams to ensure that implementation of new Contract logistics operations is delivered on-time with the correct quality and within budget.
  • Analyse current set-ups, drive general activities and if necessary, re-design the Contract Logistics part of the supply chain, supervise change management and drive improvement of the operations.
  • Provide specialist competence, support and training to all applicable personnel at local companies to help secure the quality of the operation.
  • Maintain a network for Contract Logistics Management personnel within the regions, and drive competence development and sharing of best practices.
  • Participate in and contribute to the Contract Logistics Management network, to help to maintain global Warehouse & Distribution competence.
  • Establish inspections processes and procedures to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled, and ensure they are correctly implemented and updated.
  • Gather information about the performance of different processes and areas, and drive implementation of improvement actions when required.
  • Handle complaints received from Customer, ensuring they are efficient and focused on ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Handle complaints opened to suppliers.

YOUR QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or similar (mandatory)
  • Minimum 8 years’ previous experiences from similar position. (mandatory)
  • Minimum 5 years of direct responsibility in managing large warehouse operations
  • Manufacturing experiences of industrial products (preferred)
  • English (high - mandatory)

REPORTING

This role will report to Group logistics team for now.

LOCATION

This role will be based in Shanghai and will require extensive travelling.
