Plant manager, Nefab Americas

The Plant Manager is responsible for all operations from order entry to delivery for the business unit. This position is located in Dallas, TX, and you will report to Managing Director

Your profile

Responsible for the overall direction of all plant functions.

Responsible for management of capital assets, plant, machinery, and inventory.

Responsible for managing all plant costs within company budgets.

Establishes plant policies and procedures.

Directs and co-ordinates material management, production operations and process improvement on a day-to-day basis.

Manage systems and procedures for operational cost and usage controls.

Works closely with sales and customers to facilitate technical information interface.

Establishes process costing.

Assists engineering with new product development.

Monitors and analyses manufacturing costs.

Responsible for building security.

Performs special tasks for Corporate as required.

Manage physical inventory of materials and components, as well as the best utilization of materials.

Develop and execute Production Plan as part of Nefab’s annual Business Planning process.

Develop and update production forecasts based on the input from sales forecasts on an ongoing basis in line with Nefab’s planning/rolling forecast system.

Coordinates month-end physical inventory count (Raw, WIP, FG):

  • Counting and reporting
  • Monitors monthly usage and waste reports
  • Troubleshooting and variance analysis

Lead and compile the company’s forecasting (annual and rolling 4Q) as part of the corporate planning cycle.

Assist in Accounts Receivable collections for past dues over 20 days.

Adhere to ISO 9001 and 14001 Policies and Procedures and ensure employee adherence to ISO system.

Report on Quality KPI’s and Improvements

  • Track and report out on both customer concerns and non-conformances on a monthly basis.
  • Track the cost of quality both external and internal.
  • Analyze manufacturing data for value added improvements.
  • Report on year-to-date KPIs.
  • Track closure rate of N/C issued to Nefab.
  • Track new improvements as well as closing dates.

Continuously improve Nefab’s costing and pricing systems.

Company goals and objectives, as defined from time to time.

Key Performance Indicators

  • On time reporting
  • Accuracy of information
  • Cash flow, cash management key ratios
  • Cost control efficiency among peers

Manage the Human Resources function.

Develop and manage the human resources according to company policies and guidelines in Nefab’s ISO procedures. 

Balance the human resource with the capacity needs to fulfill market demand.

 

Required Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, or Mechanical Engineering; preference given to degrees from any of the following Packaging Programs
  • Michigan State University
  • Virginia Tech
  • University of Wisconsin - Stout
  • Clemson University
  • Rochester Institute of Technology
  • Association Involvement (IOPP, CSCMP, NIPHLE, etc.)
  • 7+ years’ experience in an operations or plant management role
  • 2+ Years in an ISO certified or Lean organization
  • 2+ years in a manufacturing or industrial company, preferably wood or heavy duty

 

LANGUAGES:

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
