Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our team and support our manufacturing and logistics operations. The IT Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient operations across our manufacturing and logistics facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. System Administration: Manage and maintain IT systems and networks, including servers, databases, and software applications used in manufacturing and logistics operations.
  2. Network Infrastructure: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, to ensure reliable connectivity and data security.
  3. ERP System Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, including modules related to manufacturing, inventory management, and logistics.
  4. Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, and maintain hardware devices (e.g., computers, printers, barcode scanners) and software applications used in manufacturing and logistics environments.
  5. Data Management: Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of data generated and processed in manufacturing and logistics operations, including backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  6. User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users in manufacturing and logistics departments, including resolving hardware and software issues, training, and documentation.
  7. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline IT processes and improve efficiency in manufacturing and logistics operations through the use of technology solutions and automation.
  8. Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO) and industry standards for IT systems and data security in manufacturing and logistics environments.
  9. Vendor Management: Coordinate with IT vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
  10. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain IT documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides for manufacturing and logistics IT systems and processes. Conduct training sessions for end-users as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  •  years of experience in IT support or systems administration, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are a plus
